Saturated purple.

Creamy vanilla, coconut and deep, amorphous, black fruit nose.

Deep, plush palate impression, with coconut flavor as point man. Then acidity kicks in that is completely at odds with the other components. Shiraz is not a high-acid variety in a warm climate. 'Nuff said. But there's great raw material here, so this pulls off a single to right field. Should have homered this fat pitch to left field.
