Domaine Santa Duc "Hautes Garrigues" Gigondas 1999

Dull, deep red.

Vinturi - savory meat/nut/earth, black cherry coulis, oak spice nose. Sumptuous, deep.

Round, with some textural sweetness. Then some serious (stem?) tannin impact in the mid-palate. Licorice, garrigue flavors dominate. Far better aromatically than my last bottle, but still wildly bound up in the mouth. I believe this is 100% whole cluster/long maceration (30+ days). Will this ever unwind?
