Guigal, Lieu-Dit St. Joseph, Blanc 2004

Yellow/slight gold.

Deep, low-toned, "thick" nose. Honey, marzipan. Hints of pear and citrus.

Thick and loaded in the mouth, with just enough (floral?) freshness. Long and deep. There really isn't anything like Marsanne from the northern Rhone. Though there may be some Roussanne here too. Needs a cup of hot fat.
