Clos La Coutale, Cahors 2006

Deep purple.

Licorice, black fruit and herb liqueur. No oak showing.

Intense, linear expression in the mouth, black fruit, licorice and spice. Acid-driven constriction coats the front teeth in mineral chew. No make-up, no BS. Real food wine.

Day 3 - Pure, blatant, black licorice and black fruit nose with clean earth background. Similar to day 1 in the mouth. Naked stuff. This would be great with northern Italian food..

$17. 80% Malbec, 20% Merlot
