Vinturi - aromas of earth/truffle, roasted herbs, fig paste, prune and lifted spices.

Massive, building, palate impression. Round and packed. Huge mid-palate flesh ultimately whittled down to size by significant, side teeth-coating, acid/tannin synergy. Absolutely no primary fruit here, thus useless pool-side. But if you've got a cup of hot fat in front of you, or a lamb shank, you're in luck.
