Clarendon Hills, Hickinbotham Vyd., Syrah, Clarendon 2002 (Australia)

Red/purple.

Deep, meaty nose. Fig/earth/toasted nut.

Huge volume in the mouth, almost matches the Kangarilla Grenache, just deeper but not as flamboyant. Definite raspberry coulis flavor. Goes the distance, too. No complexity to speak of. Acidity is moderate. Fun, deep stuff, but the Three Hills runs circles around it.
