Selbach-Oster, Zeltinger Schlossberg, Riesling, Spatlese 1999

Light yellow.

Discreet nose - petrol, peach pit, vanilla/cream nose. Quite fresh. A slightly pungent "mineral" note, too.

Sweet flavors of peach are immediately, and increasingly, focused by mineral cut. Very interesting to see the initial breadth of flavor whittled down to a fine, intense, point. Tart apple and mineral finish. Long and chewy. Make that very, very long and chewy. Even a note of iron now.

$25?
