Panther Creek "Shea Vineyard" Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley 2004

Deep red.

Deep, roasted, smoky nose - could be Syrah. Roasted hazelnut, earth and a hint of black fruit.

Deep in the mouth, with a touch of (textural) sweetness. Aromas largely follow nose, with fruit peeking out in the mid-palate and finish. Relatively strong acid/tannin synergy shortens the finish. Also opened yesterday.
