Pax "Obsidian" Syrah, Knights Valley 2003

Opaque (hazy) purple/red.

Vinturi - a multitude of spices, dried fig, menthol, licorice, black raspberry on the nose.

Intense, round and slightly grainy. Deep, but no fat here. This seems more constricted in the finish than previous bottles. Not giving it up. Probably just needs more cellar time, as this is loaded with material.
