Vieux Telegraphe, Chateauneuf du Pape, Blanc 2006

Straw/yellow.

Nut paste, pear, lemon, pineapple aromas. Finely-etched, pure.

Round and mouth-filling, with a mouth-watering acid/mineral edge. Killer. Vibrant, lifted, slightly floral. Long, tactile finish of nuts and pineapple. Nothing heavy or dull here. I shouldn't have opened this (last bottle) - love to see it in 3-4 years.

$55. A blend that includes a hefty percentage of Clairette (an esoteric Rhone variety)
