Cantina Terlano "Lunare" Gewurztraminer, Alto Adige 2006

Yellow/gold.

Deeply pitched nose of spiced peach jam, lychee candy and smoked salmon. Light note of fresh herbs, too. Additional nuances as it airs.

Round, slightly saline and sweet in the mouth, with a medicinal/iodine aspect. Wild. Shows no heat. Acidity and tannic chew actually cut through all the richness in the finish. I'm not sure if there's RS here or not. Huge flavors of slightly roasted yellow fruit jam. Can't say this is refined, but it is certainly distinctive and loaded. Lemon drop late in the extremely long finish.
