Domaine Gardies "Vieilles Vignes" Cotes du Roussillon Villages 2006

Red/purple.

Vinturi - Shoe polish, fig paste, earth, blackberry liqueur on the nose. Smells dense/packed/lively. Reminds me of Priorat, only more bass here.

Round and sweet in the mouth, with a nice edge of framing acidity. Not fat, but not hard either. Even-keeled throughout, with an exotic apricot note. Quite energetic/lively and could use a few more years in the bottle to give up (all) the goods.
