F. Langwerth von Simmern, Riesling, Spatlese, Rauenthaler Baiken, Rheingau 2005

Yellow. Some residual CO2.

Poached, spiced peach, meal/earth and a hint of petrol on the nose.

Deep and sweet in the mouth, with ripe, sugared, peach and peach pit flavors. Fortunately has fairly strong acidity cutting the RS and the overt sweet fruit character. Finishes with acid/mineral chew coating the teeth and lingering smoky, sweet peach flavors. PFG, though nearly dessert in style.
