Artadi "Pagos Viejos" Rioja 1998

Deep red/purple.

Very deep nose of suave toasty oak, hazelnut, earth.

Very concentrated palate-impression, very finely constituted. Bricks, spice and red fruit with a chewy, long finish.
Quite a different animal from the San Vincente. Undergrad vs. PhD.

This will develop for several more years. Very, very good.
