Domaine la Soumade Rasteau "Fleur de Confiance" 1999

Very deep red, little sign of age.

Sexy, chocolate, black fruit, smoky oak nose. Wax and pepper/spice nuances. Deep.

Medium-bodied, creamy, immediately buffered by finely-grained tannin. Quite concentrated and structured. This seems capable of significant further evolution in bottle. Andre Romero is apparently a big Bordeaux fan - you can see that influence here.
