Copain Syrah James Berry Vyd. 2004

Very deep red/purple.

Sugar-dusted cran/raspberry, boysenberry and lifted spice notes. Quite fresh, in complete contrast to the Massena. Very deep nose.

Sweet, silky palate-impression, with significant tannin hitting the front teeth late. Great mid-palate and finishing flavor. Very long and expressive. Not at all heavy.

I think stem-inclusion has added lift here, and also some major tannin. But there is nothing stemmy in aromatics or flavor.
